An Executive Headteacher has been appointed to lead the new North Worcester Primary Academy, which is due to open in September 2019. Sian Williams, current Headteacher at Northwick Manor Primary School, has been successful in securing the role of Executive Headteacher of both schools.
Sian is currently working closely with consultants on the vision of this brand new academy and stated, “I am immensely proud to be Headteacher at Northwick Manor Primary and am really excited about taking on board Executive Head for our new school as well. Both schools are situated in North Worcester and we have already begun discussing opportunities for working across both schools to strengthen teaching and learning and peer mentoring.“
Plans for the site, on the old park and ride site in Perdiswell, were given the green light by cabinet members of Worcester City Council. Kate Brunt, CEO of the Rivers CofE Academy Trust said “The demand for school places is high and we are delighted to be able to secure this new school for North Worcester. At Rivers we prioritise serving the needs of our pupils and we are grateful to Worcester City Council and the Education Skills and Funding Agency for their hard work in securing this site.”
Members of the public are invited to come along and view the plans at our public information evening being held on Wednesday 28th March from 6.30pm-8.30pm at Northwick Manor Primary School. Prospective parents are also invited to come along and meet the executive team to discuss admissions and catchment arrangements.
